New experiences thrill my very soul!  I have a tendency to leap when given the opportunity to go somewhere or do something that I have never done before.  So when my cousin in northern Michigan proposed the idea of photographing the home birth of her fifth baby I unhesitatingly said, "Yes!"  I had never been present for a birth before, nor had I spent much time thinking about childbirth... at all... Actually I didn't even think it about it at the time.
