While traveling overseas my bed at night ended up being on various bunk beds, rooftops, floors, or porches all over the world. I have slept in copious amounts of dirt. Bucket showers were the norm and as wonderful as they are, they do not leave you feeling as clean as the standard American shower! I won’t lie, there were many many times I felt utterly attractive and really down on myself because of it. My face broke out terribly and I still have scars to prove it. Travel is glorious on one hand and a health hazard on the other. I came home from eleven months of traveling weary and physically unhealthy.
